2019 marks another milestone for Wycliffe Malaysia, as we celebrate 25 years of God’s faithfulness, working in the ministry of Bible Translation in Malaysia.

Over the past 25 years, we have sent out a total of 42 missionaries, serving in 14 countries in the areas of Bible Translation, Literacy, Community Development, Orality and Administrative support work. Some of our members have since returned home and are now Consultants. They travel frequently to other countries to help in projects that need their consultation and expertise.

From being a recruiting and sending organization, we are now also able to initiate and lead in translation project. Besides written text translation projects, we have also moved to Oral Bible Translation (OBT) and Oral Bible Storying (OBS). This year, we started our first OBS project and we are in the process of starting our first OBT project, in partnership with other organizations.
We thank God that we do not work alone, as we have partner organizations, churches and you, working together in many different ways. We hope many more will join us. There are so many ways you can contribute and whatever your skills and background, there is something for you and we can help you “find your fit” to fulfill the great commission through the ministry of Bible Translation.

As the season for the celebration of the birth of Christ draws near, may we together, join our hearts to give thanks to God for all He has blessed us with. May we remain committed to continue to share this message of hope to those who have yet to hear.
