Short-term missions opportunity
Translation facilitator in an oral Bible storying project – Tamil Internship Program
Are you considering long-term involvement in missions? Perhaps you want to be involved in the Bible translation movement and its related ministries, but are not sure whether it would be a good fit, and if you would like to commit long term?
Consider exploring a 1.5-2 year opportunity serving as a translation facilitator in an oral Bible storying project, where you will be:
- Exposed to the process of crafting oral Bible stories, moving from the Bible text to completed stories in spoken Tamil.
- Trained on translation principles.
- Trained as a facilitator to guide team members through the process of exegesis, understanding the Bible passage, and translating into spoken Tamil.
- Introduced to the community testing process, and to carry out testing with members of the Tamil-speaking community.
- Involved in efforts to introduce ways of helping people engage with God’s Word orally.
